UV Water Filtration
Systems with UV sterilization of bacteria and pathogens
UltraViolet Water purifiers use UVC light for disinfection of contaminants like bacteria and pathogens that are present in our wells and public water systems. These systems can be installed at your sink or drinking faucet (POU) or can be installed at the Point of Entry to your home or business. The water simply passes by a Ultraviolet light that is encased by a crystal tube and the amount of dosage of UV light that the water is exposed to will kill practically all biological contaminants. These systems are very efficient to run and have very little maintenance costs. (note – untreated hard water will cause deposits to form on the crystal sleeve preventing the UV light from fully treating the water).
These units can be installed not only in homes and other buildings, but also boats and RVs.
How UV Sterilizers Work:
- Filtered water enters the ultraviolet purifier and flows into the annular space between the quartz sleeve and the chamber wall.
- Suspended microorganisms are exposed to the ultraviolet rays emitted by the germicidal lamp
- The LED indicator light, located on the ballast, provides visual indication of germicidal lamp operation.
- Water leaving the purifier is ready for use, no further contact time is required.
UV Water Purifiers Product Advantages
- Effective - virtually all microorganisms are susceptible to Bio-Logic™ disinfection
- Economical - hundreds of gallons are purified for each penny of operating cost.
- Safe - no danger of overdosing, no addition of chemicals.
- Chemical Free - no chlorine taste or corrosion problems.
- Fast - water is ready for use as soon as it leaves the purifier – no further contact time required.
- Easy - simple installation and maintenance. Compact units require minimum space.
- Automatic - provides continuous disinfection without special attention or measurement
Ultraviolet Dosage (When used as directed to disinfect clear water, Our Water Purifiers provide an ultraviolet dosage in excess of 30,000 microwatt seconds per square centimeter (µWSec/cm2).
